Isaac S. Nicholson

Isaac Sullivan Nicholson is a member of the Butler | Viadro trial team. He focuses his practice on catastrophic personal injury cases involving industrial accidents, dangerous premises, defective products, maritime accidents, elevator accidents, refinery accidents and auto accidents, as well as professional negligence matters. Mr. Nicholson simultaneously litigates workers’ compensation cases where present.

Isaac Nicholson was raised in Berkeley, California. His initial career was in the trades, primarily as a carpenter. His experiences as a tradesperson raised his awareness of the dangers posed by labor-intensive work. This awareness impelled Mr. Nicholson to return to school, complete his undergraduate studies and pursue a legal career. Mr. Nicholson had a central goal when he set out to be a lawyer—to fight for workers’ rights and worker safety. He now focuses on helping injured workers and forcing employers, general contractors, property owners and their insurance companies to improve on-the-job safety.

Mr. Nicholson attended Berkeley High School. He received his B.A. from The New School for Social Research, where he was on the Dean’s List throughout his tenure. He obtained his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

Mr. Nicholson enjoys pick-up basketball, tennis, bicycling, bird-watching, gardening, and listening to Oakland Athletics baseball on the radio.
