Oliver Vallejo

Oliver Vallejo represents victims of negligence and crime. He represents people who have suffered traumatic brain injury, spinal cord trauma, nerve damage, post-traumatic stress disorder, and severe orthopedic injuries. He represents families who have lost loved ones due to industrial accidents, defective products, dangerous property conditions, car accidents, governmental negligence, and professional negligence. He has resolved many seven-figure cases.

Vallejo joined the Veen Firm in 2001. In 2003, he wrote the article, “Successor Liability Options in a Products Liability Case.” In 2005, he wrote an article on assumption of the risk, which he presented at the 2005 Consumer Attorneys of California Annual Tahoe Seminar, and at the 2005 Western Trial Lawyers Association Annual Maui Seminar.

From 1998 to 2001, Vallejo worked as an attorney with the Federal Defender’s Office. There, he represented clients charged with federal crimes. In just over two years, he tried 12 criminal cases and wrote seven appeals. Vallejo was counsel in the following published cases: United States v. Poocha, 259 F.3d 1077 (9th Cir. 2001); United States v. Taylor, 258 F.3d 1065 (9th Cir. 2001); and United States v. Coutchavlis, 260 F.3d 1149 (9th Cir. 2001). He also worked on habeas petitions to help free hundreds of Southeast Asian and Cuban clients from indefinite detention by the federal government.

In 1998, Vallejo earned his law degree from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois. There, he served as research assistant to Constitutional Law professor Susan Conner. In 1993, Vallejo earned a justice degree from the American University in Washington, D.C. There, he served as a legislative intern with Congressman Don Young of Alaska.

Vallejo was born and raised in California. He is married and has a son.
