The Veen Firms's Cynthia McGuinn Inducted as Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers
San Francisco, October 4, 2006 – Cynthia McGuinn, a senior trial attorney with The Veen Firm, P.C., has become a Fellow of The American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America. McGuinn was inducted at the College's 56th annual meeting in London on September 16th.
Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Membership in the College is limited to the top one percent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. Fellowship status is extended by invitation only, after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship.
McGuinn, who has been with The Veen Firm since 1989, has represented injured persons, consumers and children in personal injury, wrongful death, professional negligence and product liability matters for 25 years. Previously named "Trial Lawyer of the Year" by the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, McGuinn is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, an Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates and has served on the board of directors of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and Consumer Attorneys of California. An author and frequent lecturer to universities and legal organizations on the subject of trial practice, McGuinn received her J.D. from Golden Gate University School of Law (1981.)
