The Veen Firm Adds Attorney Cliff Smoot

San Francisco, CA– The Veen Firm, a San Francisco-based law firm specializing in personal injury matters, welcomes attorney Cliff Smoot. Smoot’s practice includes handling complex personal and catastrophic injury cases ranging from wrongful death to construction and worksite conditions, including defective products, dangerous property conditions, negligent security, and collisions between cars, trucks, pedestrians, and bicyclists.

“Cliff brings a wide range of knowledge regarding the resolution of personal injury matters, especially bicycle cases,” said Trial Team Leader Elinor Leary. “His background as a Category 3 bicycle racer gives him an empathic edge over typical personal injury attorneys. Prior to joining The Veen Firm, Smoot was an associate attorney at Bogaards Davis, where he handled both plaintiff and defense personal injury cases. He is admitted to the California State Bar, as well as the Northern District of California.

Mr. Smoot obtained his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from University of California Hastings College of the Law, where he was a nationally competitive member of the Moot Court and Trial Teams and served as an extern at the San Francisco County Superior Court. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Spanish, cum laude, from Johns Hopkins University.
